My experience of sports photo-journalism comes from using the latest digital photography equipment at sports events in France and Europe. During these events, the photographs that I took were immediately projected onto a plasma screen, and then sold at the actual event. This taught us to achieve the highest results in all environments and under time-constraints. With such live event coverage the specialised sports magazines became some of our better customers.
Sports Photography Experience, training and dedication is what makes a good sportsman. For the sports photographer it means understanding the sport, finding the light, the movement and hitting the button at the right time to get the shot. I shoot sports photography with the same feeling as when I was on the sharp end of the lens.
Golf. No official handicap but I tee off, play the fairway and putt without too many embarrassing moments!
Surf. Surf trips to Morocco, Hawaii, Canary Islands, France, England, Spain, Portugal, Madera...
Motorcross and Enduro. I've ridden trail bikes since the end of the 1980's including trips in the High Atlas Mountains, French Alps and North Wales.
Sailing. From the Nioulargue Classic in St Tropez on a Swan in the 1990's. To Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea adventure cruising on a 12m Ketch visiting Sardinia, Corsica, Madera, Port Santo and the Canaries.
Snowboard. Started in Flaine in the days of the "Winterstick". Raced snowboards on the national boarder cross circuit. Demonstrated snowboarding for an international snowboard brand. I' ve ridden in most of the French ski resorts over the last decade.
That's some of my sporting history, the sports photography is the present, contact us if you need some photographs of you in action.
